My go to spot for birria tacos! Never have I had a bad experience when dining or takeout. The service is friendly and prompt. They just moved a couple store fronts over and the place is really nice and tidy. 4/5

El Tarasco Taqueria is one of many very good Mexican restaurants in Brentwood. The ambience is very Hispanic with decor reflecting Mexican culture. In the past, they started as a primarily Mexican take out. They now have a restaurant for sit down dining, along with their take out selections. We decided to try their sit down dining. Our server was friendly and helpful. Shrimp Torta - 5/5 The torta is a Mexican sandwich served on a soft roll and filled with meat, sauce, and various toppings such as crema, avocado, salsa, and iceberg lettuce. El Tarasco Taquieria's torta was made of very soft, flakey bread. It was a little oily, but had a very nice soft crunch. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the torta had nice slices of avocado along with lettuce, tomato slice, with a delicious dressing. I would order this sandwich again! Flautas Dinner Plate - 4.5/5 The flautas were very tasty. Each bite was accompanied by a nice crunch. Flautas are made from tortillas that are filled with your choice of meats, and then rolled up and fried. The result is a long, thin, flute-shaped roll that's extra-crispy and bursting with a savory, spiced filling. The Spanish rice and refined beans were very good too. The only drawback with this order was the food came out lukewarm warm. After a few minutes, the food was not warm at all. We expected it to be much warmer when it was brought to our table. Fortunately, the food tasted great. Overall, we enjoyed our visit to El Tarasco Taquieria. Hopefully, they will add tamales to the menu. If you're in Brentwood, give El Tarasco Taquieria a visit.

Food was tasty but it came out lukewarm not hot as if it were just cooked. I don't mind my dish coming out hot and it has to cool off. But when it comes out lukewarm, it's as if it sat a while. I would give it a 5 star if it came out hotter. Other than that the food was tasty.

I've been coming to this taqueria for years - ever since they first opened. The owner and his family are all very friendly and accommodating. I remember my very first meal I had here many years ago, and the owner brought me a cucumber melon agua Fresca to try, which was delicious. Recently, they moved to a new location inside a large restaurant adjacent to where they used to be located. They've expanded the menu, added alcoholic beverages and entertainment, and they've also improved the food. I normally order fish and shrimp tacos when I come here. I noticed they improved the spice mixture and no longer douse the seafood in it, which allows the flavor of the meat to speak for itself - much better! Today, I ordered the shrimp quesadilla with sour cream and guacamole and it was really good. This place is my local "go to" spot when I'm craving Mexican food. They also have delicious horchata, so be sure to try that when you're here. I'll keep coming here for years to come. I love to support a local business like this one that operates in such a customer-centric way. Great job, guys! Keep up the good work and tasty food!

We stopped here on a fluke while out driving around or a new car to put miles on it ...lol. It was a great fine delicious food would definitely come back if in the area. The torta was delicious and a large helping. The taco salad with no shell was also on the spot.

A very superb Mexican spot in Brentwood. Once you enter, you have sitting area, and the menu on screen. You order at the register, once you're ready. The indoors is beautiful, with plenty seating and the visuals playing a major role a great first impression Today was takeout. I had the torta, with asada. Your torta comes with protein, lettuce, guacamole, beans and some cilantro. Cut in half, and with a great presentation, the torta was a 10/10, with all flavors blending in, so your mouth has a taste of Mexico This is a return ma boiiiii!

Good food! Great people! I had a few chicken tacos and 1 quesabirria to try it out. The taco's were delish! Full of flavor and authentic (fiancé is Mexican lol). The quesabirria was amazing! Dip it in the consume & it's over! Just make sure to ask for napkins and definitely wash your hands after cuz it'll be a bit of a mess (or it's just me). Don't hesitate coming here, love their food, been here several times and not one bad experience! Eaten here dine-in & to-go, both are great options! Be back soon !
